After a good showing in Siva Manasula Sakthi, director M Rajesh has commenced his next venture titled Boss Engira Baskaran. Starring Arya and Nayanthara in the lead roles, the movie is produced by Vasan Visuals Ventures, who came out with Nan Kadavul last year. Boss Engira Basakaran is a complete laugh-riot.

Arya plays a light-hearted role. He would be the darling of the masses, once the movie gets released, says the director.

Joining hands with Arya for the first time is Nayanthara. Unlike her earlier films, she plays a traditional Tamil girl and her role is completely devoid of glamour. The onscreen chemistry between Arya and Nayanthara is amazing, says Rajesh.

At a trime when movies are made in and around Madurai, the cast and crew of the movie have chosen to shoot the film throughout in Kumbakonam.

Santhanam, Panchu Subbu, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, Vijayalakshmi and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan play pivotal roles.

Dwelling further, the director says, 'the story is character-driven and all artistes have a role to play in the film'.
Produced by K S Sreenivasan and K S Sivaraman, the movie has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Sakthi Saravanan handling cinematography and art by Jackson.

A big bus was hired and scenes Arya and Nayanthara were shot recently. Though locals gathered in large numbers to watch the shooting, they were very co-operative and never disturbed us, he adds.
