‘Novel’ experience on small screen

Ace novelist Rajesh Kumar, who is known for racy crime thrillers, is the man of the moment. His collection of stories will be made in to a television serial.

Titled Visaranai, the soap show will be aired on Kalaignar TV between Monday and Thursdays at 10 pm. One story of the writer will be featured every week.

Visaranai is directed by C Prabhu and produced by P Vijayakumar for Gravity Entertainment Limited. The production house has come out with a serial titled Rasigan for Kalaignar TV recently.  

Prabhu has acted in various televisions serials and  produced a couple. According to him, ‘I am great fan of Rajesh Kumar. His novels are interesting loaded with twists and turns.

I am elated to do a television serial based on his writings. The principal characters in his novels- Vivek, Rupala and Vishnu have been welcomed by everyone in Tamilnadu’.

‘Sakshi Siva plays Vivek, Sindhu Shyam Ganesh as Rupala and Shyam as Vishnu. Also a special contest will be run all through the week and prizes will be given away to winners.’

Visaranai will be telecast between Mondays and Thursdays at 10 pm on Kalaignar TV beginning 7 December.
