He leads a happy and contended life until an incident rattles him out of his reverie. He then takes recourse to violence and settle scores with his enemies. Says Vignesh, ‘I am confident that cinema will not let down those who love it and work with passion. Though I have always given my best, I am still struggling to make it to the top. But that has not dampened my spirits. Eesa will announce to the world, my ability to do varied roles.’ The film produced by Jayakrishnan, has Lakshana cast opposite Vignesh. Bala Ganesha makes his directorial debut and also handles its story, screenplay and dialogues. Debutant Haran scores music for songs penned by Na Muthukumar and Kabilan. R B Balaganesh handles cinematography and stunts are by Dragon Singli. M S Bhaskar, Lollu Sabha Manohar, Subburaj and Muthukaalai are also in the cast. Hailing from a remote village near Erode, Vignesh says, ‘I had this passion for cinema since my childhood. I had no backing in the industry, yet I have managed to survive as a hero for over a decade. Hopefully Eesa will be the answer to all my prayers.’
‘I have reduced my weight considerably to play the lead role. Also I walked several kilometers before shooting everyday for that tanned look on screen. We shot the climax in thorny bushes, where I had to fight without slippers,’ he says. ‘I have the patience and perseverance to wait. Hopefully this long wait would end with Eesa. Bala Ganesha has come out with a gripping film. I am sure it will set a new trend in the industry,’ says Vignesh.
