Kuthu Ramya alias Divya Spandana, has been signed to play the female lead in Singam Puli. The film will be directed by Sai Ramani. Jeeva is happy with the decent showing of his last two films Thenavattu and Siva Manasula Sakthi.

‘My daddy strongest’

Movies on sacrifices of fathers for the welfare of their families seems to be the latest trend in Kollywood. After the likes of Thavamai Thavamirundhu, Kireedom and Abhiyum Nanum, comes Appa.

Starring newcomers Karun and Valarmathy in the lead roles, the movie is directed by Jeyam Perumal, who worked as associate  with Thenavvan, Jothi Perumal and Selvaraj. Speaking about the movie, he says, ‘it is about a man, who goes to all extremes to protect his family’.

Shooting for the movie began recently at Ulundurpet and  its adjoining villages. Music is by Manish K while Surya handles cinematography. Produced by K Ravikumar, plans are on to release the movie in August.
