Stand-in skipper Suresh Raina did more than an adequate job and came up with a crucial knock after Hayden's blitz.
As Raina said CSK played as a team and hoped to continue the good show.
'We have been playing well and it was a team effort. We would like to repeat it in the next game also,' he said.
The CSK captain will be happy to contribute some runs and pick up wins before Dhoni is back as the team looks to build momentum after an early stutter. The batting, Hayden aside, didn't cover itself with glory in the game against Delhi and needs to fire.
The bowlers, it must be said, pulled things back after Virender Sehwag's assault and have a relatively easier task against a none-too-formidable Kings XI batting.
The visiting Kings XI, already with three straight losses, another would be something of a disaster and the captain Kumar Sangakkara will need to find something special if the team has to overcome a resurgent CSK.
Watch out for: Yuvraj Singh: The Punjab southpaw has been going through the horrors and it is time he contributed to the Kings XI cause. When in form, he can demolish any attack and he will be a key player if the Mohali side hopes to revive its faltering campaign in IPL-III.
Matthew Hayden: The big Aussie bludgeoned Delhi Daredevils into submission yesterday and will look to continue the good work in the home match. The 'Mongoose' has worked wonders for him and another assault looks in the offing.
