The country’s first multi-player game book The Enemy of My  Enemy by Anshumani Ruddra was launched at Landmark, a book store, in Chennai recently.

.
‘I grew up reading more of interactive fictions like C E J Pacian’s Gun Mute, Robb Sherwin’s Necrotic Drift which inspired me to write such kind of works,’ said the author.  He added that he took several months to plan and structure the book but only a few weeks to write it. ‘I used to draw a flow- chart to keep track of the idea of the game before I wrote the book so that I wouldn’t confuse while giving the plot,’ said Anshumani.

The book is about a young woman, a reincarnation of the Sun Goddess,  looking up at the sun on the streets of Tokyo. Then, permanent days descend on Japan and the rest of the world is plunged into eternal night. Should the Goddess be saved or should she be terminated? The choices the reader makes push the story along.

The sequel of the book will be launched during December this year. The author has written three short stories, an audio book narrated by Rahul Dravid. To add to the list, he has a few TV and film scripts and plays.
