| AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA |
(Adavadi)
In the absence of a strong storyline and screenplay, the end result is a disaster.
Remake of Kannada blockbuster titled A which starred Upendra in the lead role, Adavadi is about a film director who falls in love with a heroine, whom he provides acting opportunities. Interestingly, Sathyaraj takes potshots at the film industry also.
The veteran plays a film director, who is used to screaming at the top of his voice during work and taking everyone around him to task. Having seen the actor perform similar roles earlier, there is nothing new here and it turns out to be a predictable affair.
Sundara Travels-fame Radha is the heroine, while the rest of the cast includes Vayapuri, T P Gajendran and 'Kanja' Karuppu among others.
Bharath (Sathyaraj) is a busy director, who chooses Chandni (Radha), a village belle to play the female lead in his movie Reel No 15, which is about greedy politicians and their corrupt ways. Coming to know about the story, politicians hatch a conspiracy with the help of a goon-turned- film financier to halt the film. As per their plan, Chandni lures the hero and when they plan to get married, she backtracks. A dejected Bharath ends up as an alcoholic and the movie fails to take off.
Does the lead actor overcome all problems and goes ahead to complete the film forms the crux.
Too many flashbacks, incoherent screenplay and loud music constitute Adavadi. And, it is worth a miss.
