        Vijay TV has lined-up some special programmes for its viewers on Independence Day. The day begins with, Manikodiyin Mainthan, a special segment on the life history of Thiruppur Kumaran, at 7.30 a.m. An interesting debate entwined with humour with Dindigul I Leoni as the moderator will be aired at 8 am.

        A special segment of Koffee with Anu will be aired at 9 am in which yesteryear actors Manorama and Chachu, will share their experiences. Kalakka Povadhu Champions-3 will be aired at 10 am. A gala event to celebrate the grand success of the film Chennai 600028 will conclude the forenoon session at 11 am.

        The afternoon session rolls out exciting programmes like Ethu Sudhandhiram, at 1 pm. Join the Mozhi film crew as they celebrate the success of the film at 2 pm. This will be followed by the star-studded show, Vijay Awards, at 4 pm. The programme also features some foot-tapping numbers by the stars.

        Good news for television buffs. The viewers of Mahanadhi, a mega-serial on Raj TV at 8 pm between Monday and Thursday, stands a chance to win a gold coin.

        The mega serial features Sethu fame Abitha, Santoshi, Saraswathi, Sakshi Siva, Vasu Vikram among others in the lead roles. Produced by Indradhanush Media Private Limited, the serial has screenplay by Bharathynathan.
