        For those raised on video games, comic action figures, power rangers and robots, the latest Hollywood hit Transformers is a must see. The action takes place on the far away planet of Cybertron between two robotic clans, leaving the fate of mankind hanging in the balance. The film is a huge hit worldwide (now releases in Tamilnadu) due to the never-seen-before CGI (computer generated images) effects, especially the fight between the robots.

        The movie produced by Don Murphy, Tom DeSanto, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Steven Spielberg is written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and John Rogers. The film stars Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky, who has the map to the Allspark, an object at the center of the war between the heroic autobots and the evil decepticons.

        The film also stars Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Jon Voight, John Turturro, and Hugo Weaving as the voice of Megatron. Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime in the 1980s cartoon, reprised the role for the film.

        Directed by Michael Bay, the action-packed sci-fi thriller will hit the screens in Chennai soon.
