        Apparently driven by poverty, a 52-year-old man chose to end his life by hanging at his house at Korukkupet yesterday.

        The deceased identified as Sekar, was a resident of Ganapathy Nagar, Korukkupet.

        A daily wage labourer, he had no money to buy even medicines. So, he took the extreme step last evening.

        Korukkupet police are investigating.
