AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Dacoity

Most people should be aware of how a cynic humbled Alexander by telling him that he was no different from a dacoit who snatched what belonged to others.

Sastras say that the term belonging is the root of all trouble in that people forget that everything belongs to God and nothing belongs to anybody.

As an ethical statement, it is very true but in matters material, it is difficult for humans not to cling to their belongings as viewed as reflecting their right to possession.

Strictly because of this, one should forbear from coveting other people's wealth but it is advice that is never relished and therefore not practised.

Avarice enters here. At the individual level, it leads to conspiring for eliminating the rights of others in the frenzy of the urge of aggrandisement.

The nation being the individual writ large, the urge to aggress on other people's territory becomes an obsession that puts nations at conflict with each other.

It becomes a game of marauders of which the US continues to be the example from the days of its origin when it annihilated the native population mercilessly.

It is now the superpower which believes in decimating opposition to the realisation of its ambitions and has arrogated to itself the right to police international society.
