AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA   VOICE MAIL

A typical Dravidian leader

        Sir,

This is with reference to the challenge posed by actor-politician Vijayakanth to Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. Vijayakanth started his career as an actor and became one of the leading actors of Tamil film industry like his adversaries. He also started a political party and his party name has the two important nomenclatures namely 'Dravida' and 'Murpokku' (an equivalent to 'Munnetra'). He challenged both Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi during the election campaigns. He diversified his field of interests to education sector by starting an engineering college. He has also been taking his wife and brother-in-law along with him similar to the family politics (whether 'udan pirantha' or 'udan piravatha') played by both DMK and AIADMK.

Recently he has attained the best qualification of getting raided by the tax authorities, which even Karunanidhi couldn't achieve (due to well- known reasons). He has groomed and trained his cadres to take to the streets rioting against the establishments violently, just like the cadres of the other two kazhagams.

Now, he has utilised a marriage function as a political platform to launch a scathing attack on his political rival. Last but not the least, he has claimed that he would capture power in the next elections. So, there is no doubt that, he has evolved as a 'complete Dravidian leader'. Can this State endure and tolerate another Dravidian leader? May God save the Tamils and Tamilnadu!

B R Haran, Tiruvanmiyur
