The slithering serpent, the bouncing monkeys, the devotion of Hanuman, the simplicity of Guhan all came alive on stage at a cultural programme organised by Sapthagini, a cultural wing of Chettinad Vidyashram, at Kumara Raja Muthiah Auditorium here recently. Sapthagini, a cultural wing, was formed two years ago and this programme was their 25th.
The theme of the programme was to present different stories associated with the 10 avatars of Vishnu as an evolutionary process and to relate it to the need for man's spiritual evolution.
A dance-drama 'Emperumanum
Yezhu Pirappum' dwelt on the Sangam age, a press release said.
