A panel discussion on nurturing young talent was held in Chennai on 27 January.
Arul Aram, assistant professor, Media Studies, Anna University, Vishwanath, Shobha Vishwanath, directors, Karadi Tales, and Priya, student and city finalist of YAC were the panel members.
The discussion was moderated by media personality Nupur Basu. The discussion went about providing opportunities and guidance to children for nurturing their talent. Principals and teachers from various schools in the city participated in the panel discussion.
A paint exhibition named 'Classmate Young Artist Painting Exhibition' was also organised on the occasion. The paint exhibition consisted of 34 paintings done by school children in Classmate Young Artist contest.
The contest was held between October and December last year across 6,000 schools in 34 cities. Over one lakh students from classV to VIII participated in the competition. The students painted on the themes of 'I wish I were' and 'What do I want from my future'.
The best 34 paintings were
featured in this exhibition. The exhibition and the panel discussion were
organised by ITC limited in association with ITC-Welcomegroup.
