        In a path-breaking intiative, Tally Solutions has developed a new software—Tally 9 which is VAT compliant.

        The software besides incorporating statutory features offers enhanced performance with add-ons such as payroll and point of sale invoicing.

        Speaking to mediapersons, Tally India vice president, Shoaib Ahmed said the software has simplified every aspect of VAT from recording transactions which were Tamilnadu specific VAT classification to computing VAT reports and generating periodic VAT composite returns and annexures. And the software is user-friendly. Tally 9 is designed exclusively to meet the needs of small businesses and it is easy to use.

        Elaborating on the salient features, Tally Solutions general manager T Pugal said its concurrent multilingual capability would allow to enter accounts, view them and print reports in any language of choice at the same time. The payroll facility offers enhanced payroll management with automatic calculation of salaries and payslip generation. The software also allows creation and maintenance of multiple companies concurrently and help synchronise and update data across multiple location, thus enabling fast and easy access/exchange of business information between offices, branches and across various geographies.

        Tally which has demonstrated its leadership in the implementation of VAT domain expertise since 2005 has enabled customers to be VAT compliant across 26 States in the country.

        He said the customers using Tally 7.2 and 8.1 version can upgrade to Tally 9 while users of Tally 7.2 can convert to next version by paying an additional cost of Rs 4,500 plus VAT, while users of Tally 8.1 can do at no extra cost. However the users of lower version has to go directly for the Tally 9 version as it cannot be upgraded.
