Godrej wins excellence award

        Godrej Appliances has won the 'Best Product Design' award for its Eon range of refrigerators in the consumer durables sub-category (including consumer electronics) in the Home section at the Business World-NID Design Excellence award. The award was received by Kamal Nandi, vice president, Godrej Appliances at a function held in Delhi recently. This award has been won jointly by Godrej Appliances and Futuring Design—a product development house whom Godrej had employed to design this new range of refrigerators that perfectly compliments the modern and hectic lifestyle of the Indian consumer today.

        Association of Business Communicators of India has awarded a special award for excellence in marketing and brand communications to Bank of Baroda for the year 2005-06. Ajai Kumar, general manager and Dipanka Mookerjee, deputy general manager received the award from Governor of Maharashtra S M Krishna at a function held in Mumbai recently. Bank also received first prize for its Hindi magazine Akshayam and third prize for annual report and corporate website.

        The Oberoi Amaravilas, Agra has been adjudged the best five star deluxe hotels in India. In recognition of its significant contribution to tourism in the country and unremitting committing to excellence, the luxury hotel has been awarded National Tourism award in the five star deluxe category for the second year in succession.
