Special yagya poojas being conducted at  the Madhavaperumal Temple at Mylapore.

        The mahasamprokshanam of Sri Madhavaperumal Temple at Mylapore will be conducted tomorrow.

        Briefing the media about the function, T Chandrasekaran, an official of the temple trust, said, 'the yagasalai poojas have commenctomorrow, between 9.30 am and 10.15 am, and in the evening, there will be special poojas and a temple procession.'

        Around Rs 80 lakhs, contributed by donors, was spent on various renovation works, including the repair of the temple tank and flag mast, besides a panchavarna painting.

        Besides other officials, Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways T R Baalu and local MLA S Ve Shekher are expected to participate in the proceedings.
