Necessary amendments for the Tamilnadu Value Added Tax (VAT) Act and Rules would be taken up during the Budget Session in February, next, S Murugan, Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (VAT Cell), government of Tamilnadu, has said.
He was speaking at an interaction on VAT, organised by the Tamilnadu Small and Tiny Industries Associations (TANSTIA), Chennai District SSI Association (CDISSIA) and Lodhi Associate (P) Ltd here yesterday.
Urging the traders through their respective associations to send doubts and proposals regarding VAT, Murugan said the State Empowered Committee and VAT Monitoring and Implementation Committee would redress the same.
Later, he cleared doubts on VAT raised by the various trading communities who turned up at the meeting. Earlier, Lodhi Associate (P) Ltd presented a demo on Tally Solution regarding VAT requirements of the Tamilnadu government.
