        A film show was screened for the public at the Kancheepuram panchayat union. The slide presentation was attended by panchayat president Sundara-varadhan, primary health centre officer Rajaguru and ward members Sumathy Perumal, Kirubakaran and Kamakshi.

        Office-bearers elected:

        Kancheepuram district new office-bearers of Tamilnadu government Public Health Department and Secretarial Services Officers Welfare Association have been elected.

        The president is O T Krishnamurthy, secretary V Sankar and executive council member N V Devarajan. The election was held recently in the presence of the association State president Aranga Ananthakrishnan. About 60 people, including 15 women, participated in the meeting.
