HC doesn't strike down bandh

The Madras High Court today declined to stay the call for a general strike  on 1 October by DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) in Tamilnadu on the Ramar Sethu issue. 

Duo arrested for stealing motorbikes

Two men, who stole motorcycles worth Rs 2.25 lakh, have been arrested. According to police, the accused identified as Karthik alias Suresh (21) and Saravanan (17), both residents of Mogappair were involved in stealing motorcycles at Thirumangalam, Korattur and Kilpauk areas.
