        Vegam features Ashwin, son of actor-turned-politician S Ve Shekher, making his debut on the silver screen with Vegam. Ashwin plays an action-packed role in his maiden venture. Tollywood actress Archana is the heroine while Shekher plays a cameo.

        Prabhu dons the role of a police officer. Kushboo, Sriman and Mayilsamy are also in the cast. A major portion of the movie was shot in Malaysia. Musical score is by Rajesh Vaidya.
