RMO Rajguru himself cleaned up the premises. |
Sanitary workers at Stanley Hospital today resorted to a protest after the higher officials in the hospital ordered them to clean the premises, forcing the Resident Medical Officer Rajguru to wield the broom by himself.
According to sources, the authorities had issued a strict order to the workers to clean the premises. Following this, the workers resorted to an agitation against the official. They raised slogans denouncing the official, which created tense moments. Dean of the hospital Ahmed Khan held talks with the agitators in a bid to pacify them. Pacified, the workers returned to work.
Meanwhile when the talks
were on, Rajguru himself took up the job of clearing the garbage. Speaking
to press, Rajguru said that he had asked the workers to clean, keeping
in mind of the possibilities of diseases due to the unhygienic environment.
