Auditor assault case adjourned to 17 Sept

Chennai, Aug 27:

        The Principal Additional Sessions Court today adjourned the hearing in the auditor Radhakrishnan assault case to 17 September.

        Radhakrishnan, a resident of Mandaveli, was assaulted by few unidentified men. Cases were filed against 12 persons including Kanchi seer Jayendra Saraswathi Swami. Sankara Mutt manager Sundaresa Iyer. Ravi Subramaniam, who was reportedly involved in the attack turned approver. The case came up for hearing before Judge Muhamad Ishaq Ali today.

        Appearing on behalf of the prosecution, advocate Shahjahan urged the court to adjourn the hearing since the government advocate has not been appointed in the case.

        He added that police summons have not yet been served on the witnesses. Later, the Judge adjourned the case to 17 September.
