Entrepreneurship programme for women

        Science City, an autonomous organisation of the Tamilnadu Government, will be organising a 10-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for women in the field of hotel management and catering technology, starting on 21 May.

        According to a press release, the programme has been designed to include the general aspects of entrepreneurship, theoretical and practical training on catering technology and other related subjects. The programme is exclusively meant for aspiring women entrepreneurs and the last date for registration is 10 May.

Classical art festival in Chennai

        A repertoire of the copies of Ravi Varma's original works will be on display at a summer art festival cum exhibition, organised by Raasi Art Foundation, from tomorrow to 13 May at Adyar.

        This art festival would showcase traditional art forms of all the four Southern states, in particular ancient art forms which face the threat of extinction, said a press release. Classical art works of the great masters will be on display.

        Kalamkari art works, 17th century Mysore paintings, Tanjore paintings, and Suvar Chitra murals from Kerala. The art festival is being held at Raasi Art Foundation, Anna Avenue, Bakthavatsalam Nagar, Adyar.

Club for 'brilliant' kids

        Sociable Intellectual Progressive Academy (SIP) has formed 'The Brilliance Club 2007' for children between 7 and 12 years of age at all SIP learning centres in Chennai recently.

        The Brilliance Club will introduce children to the Abacus system of learning, brain gym exercises and speed writing, said a press release.

CDs on tourism, temples launched
