        A person was killed when a jeep hit the two-wheeler he was riding on the East Coast Road.

        According to police sources, Murugavel (32), son of Chinnathambhi of Kayapakkam near Koovathur, was going on his TVS 50 along the ECR where a jeep from the opposite direction hit his bike. Under the impact, Murugavel sustained serious injuries. He was admitted to Government Hospital, Sriperumbudur, where he succumbed.

        Security man dies

        A private company security man on his motorcycle was killed when he hit a road barricade near Kancheepuram.

        Police said Vasudevan (53) from Alangayam, on the day of the incident, was riding his two-wheeler towards Sriperumbudur when his bike hit the road barricade. He sustained serious head injury and died in hospital.

        Engineer killed

        An engineer near Sriperumbudur was knocked down by a two-wheeler and was killed while he was crossing the road.

        According to police, Mansur Malik (45) from Jharkhand, working as an engineer in Nokia company, was crossing the road in front of his company yesterday when a motorcycle knocked him down. He was rushed to General Hospital, Chennai, where he died.
