Pune-based HOV Services Ltd has moved its headquarters to Chennai after the acquisition of Lason, the BPO service provider which has a large presence in the city.
Talking to mediapersons recently, Suresh Yannamani, president and chief operating officer, BPO wing of HOV Services Ltd, said that as part of its growth strategy, the company has acquired Lason which gave many advantages toHOV Services.
The take-over deal was struck in end-February 2007 and all the formalities have been completed.
He added the acquisition has moved the company into the top three listed BPO service providers in the country.
Lason has over 85,000 sq ft office space in a prime area and the fourth facility with a built up space of 50,000 sq ft on Nelson Manickam Road would be inaugurated soon.
'Lason's reputation for reliable, high quality and secure services were key factors in assessing its credentials, before finally deciding to take over the company.
Another strong point in favour of Lason was that most of the top 30 customers have been with the company for more than 5 years which is an enviable track record,' said Parvinder Chadha, promoter and executive director, HOV Services Ltd.
Lason has a management team with proven track record and experience which would ensurethat HOV gets a major shareof the growing BPO market in India.
The company has also adopted
the proven Six Sigma process for sustaining growth.
