        Entries have been invited for the Chennai District Carrom Championship (1-3 June) and State Carrom Championship (4-6 June) at the SDAT Multipurpose Indoor Stadium. The events are organised by Chennai District Carrom Association.

        The total prize money for the District Championship, co-sponsored by ICMC Corporation Ltd, Elegant Publicities, Srestha Communications and Vinayaga Mission Hospital Ltd., is Rs 50,000. There will be events in open singles, non-medallist singles, women singles, junior (Under-18) and sub-junior boys singles (U-14). Entries close on 30 May.

        Saint Gobain, State Bank of India and C & O Group arer the sponsors for the State Championship. Events in men singles and doubles, women singles and veteran singles (above 45) and a prize money of Rs 60,000 are the feature.
