Action from the Government of Tamilnadu National Laser Coastal Sailing Championship 2007 in Chennai yesterday.

        The Government of Tamilnadu National Laser Coastal Sailing Championship 2007 kicked off yesterday at a simple function.

        Earlier, Rajesh Chowdhary triumphed in the sponsors' race ahead of the main competition.

        After the flag hoisting and cast off, the practice was flagged off in seven knots of wind which dropped to about four or five knots presenting the lighter sailors with an opportunity to prove their mettle and use their weight to advantage across the course.

        The championship is expected to be a fight amongst the AYN sailors in the Standard rig with the INWTC sailors throwing a challenge through Lt Amit Arvind.
