        A labourer who was engaged in building work at Sholinganallur got electrocuted yesterday.

        According to police, Adhinarayanan, 20, hailing from Onnampettai in Andhra Pradesh, was a casual labourer in a construction company which was building an IT park at Sholinganallur.

        It is reported that he met with the accident when he tried to switch on a motor.

        He was rushed to government hospital, Royapettah, but died without responding to treatment.

        Thoraipakkam police have registered the case and are investigating.
