Rotary funds lab for school

Managing director of Ford Business Service Centre Sumito Mulchandani, president of The Rotary Club of Madras South P R Prasanna Varma and other Rotarians in newly inaugurated computer lab in Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School at Saidapet.

        Rotary Club of Madras South, joining hands with Ford Business Service Centre, has funded a computer laboratory with 15 computers and accessories for students of Corporation Girls Higher Secondary School at Saidapet here recently.

        Speaking on the occasion, managing director of Ford Business Service Centre Sumito Mulchandani said, ' with the boom in IT, computer knowledge is essential and this computer lab with developed software should be utilised to the maximum'.

        While president of The Rotary Club of Madras South P R Prasanna Varma said, 'with excellent faculty members provided with technology, it is the students who should benefit the most'.

        Producing good results every year, this government- run school with students taking up professional courses such as engineering and medicine and with students continuously winning the competition 'Talk your way to Japan' and participating in various workshops conducted by Rotary, the enthusiasm level among the students is amazing.

        District chairman Rotary Club of Madras South R Raja Ramakrishnan, district chairman of Youth Services, Rotary Club of Madras South S Balachandran and other senior officials from Ford India participated.
