Chennai, Jan 25:
Factionalism in the Tamilnadu Congress Committee is not news, because it is something refuses to die. Today, it reared its ugly head again, in the presence of senior Congress leader Veerappa Moily.
Tension prevailed at the Congress party headquarters here with the supporters of TNCC president M Krishnaswamy and Union Minister G K Vasan clashing in the presence of Moily.
This morning, Moily is said to have come to the party office here to hold a press meet scheduled to be held in Krishnaswamy's room, but later it was moved to a room in the second floor.
Meanwhile, supporters of
Vasan and Krishnasamy, came to meet Moily and were waiting to submit petitions
against one another. However, a verbal duel ensued between supporters of
the two leaders, forcing Moily to leave the scene. He also apparently dropped
the idea of meeting the press.
