Grandeur and glamour are always part of Tamil cinema. Tamil film producers go to any extent to promote their films. They opt for innovative publicity technics to grab the attention of the masses.
Kalaipli S Thanu launched his production venture Kanthaswamy starring Vikram in Chennai on Sunday.
Starring Vikram, Shriya, Vivek, Santhanam and Alex in lead roles, the movie is directed by Susi Ganesan.
On the occasion, the Kanthaswamy
team announced that it has adopted two villages near Madurai, and will
play the good Samaritan.
The idea is the brainchild of director Susi Ganeshan, as the basic theme of the film is about a Robinhood- type of man who goes about providing justice to the poor and needy.
The two villages Sangampatti and Gandhi Nagar had lacked infrastructure facilities and the Kanthaswamy crew had been to the village and provided the welfare measures.

Speaking on the occasion, Susi Ganesan, who is directing the movie, said, ‘we have chosen to launch the movie in a unique way and in the presence of people of two villages, which we have adopted.’
Vikram appeared as Kanthaswamy on the dais and assured that he would strive for creating a society of equals.
Speaking on the occasion, Vairamuthu said this is not a movie launch but a lesson for the entire film fraternity.
He said Vikram is a dedicated artiste and the different makeovers suit him well. On his part, music composer Mani Sharma spoke about the efforts taken to turn out the trailer.
The trailer screened on the occasion won the admiration of many.
Among those present on the occasion included Film Chamber president KRG, directors Shankar, Kalaipuli G Sekaran, K S Ravikumar, actors Bharath, Arun Vijay among others.
