        A youth from Tenkasi underwent ‘sleeve reduction’ of stomach to reduce obesity to woo his ladylove, whom he had never met.
 

        Vishwa, aged 27, weighing 150 kg was determined to undergo this surgery at Amma hospital in Chennai, though it involved risks when performed on a normal person.

        Vishwa had peculiar reasons to undergo this surgery. It is said that he fell in love with a girl from Chennai after hearing her voice over the phone six months ago. In filmi style, the couple continued their love affair over phone. When both decided to get married, the girl insisted to meet the youth. But the youth who was worried over his obesity was determined to meet the girl only after reducing his weight.

        After which he approached director of Amma Hospital Dr Suresh for shedding his weight.

        The doctors suggested that he undergo bariatric surgery to reduce the sleeves in his stomach. This would make him take very little food and thereby reduce his weight completely.

        The bariatric surgery was done by a team of doctors. After the surgery was performed, Vishwa weighed 130 kg. However the doctors at the hospital are confident of reducing his weight further.
