        Urdu Academy (secular), in association with Mumtaz Educational Trust, has proposed to celebrate Shaan-E- Hind (proud to be an Indian), an awards function, in Bala Mandir German Hall at T Nagar tomorrow.

        Announcing this at a press meet recently, chairman of Mumtaz Educational Trust Syed Badaruddin said awards would be presented to deserving students of Urdu and other language-speaking students for their performance in education. Awards would also be presented to teachers, doctors, advocates, social workers and bank managers.

        Besides, a royal mushaira (poetry-recitation) of Mughal period would be the main attraction of the function.
