        Things are happening for Karrishmaa after smelling success in the Jodi No. 1 Challenge contest on Vijay TV. With two films behind her - Vairavan and Laya - the petite actress grabbed the opportunity and her success has opened the doors for new vistas.

        Partnering choreographer Suresh, Karrishmaa's proficiency in bharatanatyam was the clinching factor when the contest was on knife's edge. The final round was the clincher when the two settled for the Nadam Enum number from Salangai Oli.

        'It was a conscious decision to opt for a number giving avenues to exhibit the classical style of dancing. For a trained dancer like me, could not have asked for more. Getting the full points in the final round was imperative.'

        Thanks to that spell of success, Karisshmaa's charm is set to take wings. Her Telugu venture tentatively titled Beauty is with a newcomer. In a suspense thriller, the scope is to be in the thick of action and tainted with glamour.'

        The other happy tiding is the Kannada movie Gauri , earmarked for an important character.

        Hoping for a long innings in films, Karisshmaa's ultimate desire is to get into direction. Early days yet to speculate on that possibility.
