        In the wake of the visit of President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, to the Madras Christian College yesterday, several roads in Tambaram municipality area were spruced up and some relaid on Thursday on a warfooting.

        Municipal Chairman E Mani and Commissioner, R Sekar inspected the works alongwith other government officials. A trial security run was also conducted by security agencies in Tambaram yesterday for the VVIP visit.
