        Pensioners/family pensioners who are receiving their pension/family pension from Corporation of Chennai should appear in person along with their Pension Payment Order Book before the Accounts Officer (Pension), Corporation of Chennai for annual verification.

        According to a press release, pensioners can appear during the working days between 10 am and 4 pm from March to June 2007. Those who could not appear in person may send their life certificate duly attested by a gazetted officer.

        The pension/family pension will be stopped from August 2007 onwards to those who do not appear in person or send their life certificate by post, the release added.
