        Continuing its drive against pimps, the Anti-Vice squad has picked up one more 'operator' at Vadapalani here last night. According to sources, it is said the pimp identified as Neeranjan alias Ravi was caught when the officials posing themselves as customers met him at a lodge in Vadapalani.

        On receiving a tip-off, the officials are reported to have contacted this person over phone last night to 'arrange' a girl. The pimp in turn reportedly asked them to meet him in person. However, changing the venue point twice, he finally consented to meet them with a girl at a lodge in Vadapalani.

        The officials who sped to the lodge caught the pimp and the girl.

        Preliminary investigations revealed that he came to city with a dream of becoming a film director and is said to have worked as an assistant director in few films. Later developing a contacts in the cinema industry, he opted to involve himself in flesh trade. He continued to supply girls, who were mostly small screen actresses. The rates quoted varied between Rs 5000 to Rs 1 lakh.

        Meanwhile police sources here said that he is in no way connected to pimp Kannada Prasad, for he was carrying on his business in local areas unaware of the intensive raid being conducted by the police.
