Babu Manoharan, director, St Joseph's College of Engineering, being introduced to the players at the inauguration of the sub-junior throwball meet.

        Kancheepuram boys beat Coimbatore 15-9, 14-16, 15-8 while Tiruchi girls overcame Thiruvallur 15-10, 16-14 in the inaugural sub-junior State Throwball Championship which began at Sacred Heart Matric Higher Secondary School, Sholinganallur. Twenty district teams are in fray.

        Babu Manoharan, Director, St. Joseph's College of Engineering, inaugurated the three-day event. Dr. Sukumar, Senior vice-president, Tamilnadu Throwball Association, welcomed the gathering in the presence of T Balavinayakam, General Secretary, Tamilnadu Throwball Association.

        S Rajendran, DIG (CB-CID) will be the chief guest for the valedictory day function (25 February) and distribute the prizes.
