        Singapore-based shoe company J'Adore Concepts is setting its foot in Chennai market offering an exclusive range of footwear targeting women.

        Elaborating on the company's retail outlets, J S R Nalgin Bacchus, director, J'Adore Concepts Pte Ltd said the company's second retail outlet after China would be in Chennai. Initially, there would be two stores in Chennai, one each in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. We expect a turnover of 3 million Singapore dollars.

        The company manufactures footwears on crocodile leather, lamb, calf, snake leather that are made from their factories in China and Brazil with a total capacity of 5000 shoes per month. He said that they have plans to enter Japan, Spain, Korea and in the Middle East by 2008. It has also planned to spend Rs 3 to 4 lakh on product promos and marketing campaign.

        Kee Renhni Fiona, director-Design said that their target audience would be women under 21 to 58 age group and are suitable for all occasions. However, patent leather shoes and some shoes which are incorporated with Horse's and Zebra hair are new to Chennai, she said. The price ranges between Rs 1,700 and Rs 5,500 and the company has plans to cater various other accessories for the benefit of women only.
