Pilot training takes wings

Pilot training in overseas has come as a boon to Indian students. And AV Aviation consultancy, has signed a contract with the German-based Air Alliance Flight Centre, to provide 'Pilot training' besides giving away Airline Transport Pilot's License (ATPL) for Indian students in Germany.
Briefing reporters, AV Aviation, managing director, Anju Varghese said that this reliable integrated concept for International Flight Training is necessitated for the pilots to be trained as per international standards keeping in view of the safety of the passengers.
'With the Indian skies opened to many private players now, there is a shortage of Indian Pilots of about 2,500 and hence this training programme', she said.
'Air Alliance Flight Centre would be conducting a screening test along with a career guidance interaction for students who have completed Plus Two with Physics and Mathematics. The minimum age limit for the programme is not less than 17 years,' she added.
'The 16-month training programme include operating aircrafts according to airline standards, normal and abnormal checklists, supplying with knowledge, competencies and most of all airline know-how', she said, adding that communication and feedback skills were considered to be important prerequisites for a professional working environment.
Anju said that Air Alliance Home-Base-Airport, which is located at Siegerland Airport is ideally located between Cologne and Frankfurt, and is well equipped with all necessary installations supportive for flight training day and night.
'The course package consists of 165 hours flight training on a modern fleet, 20 FNPT I Flight Simulators, 15 hours Multi Crew Concept on Boeing 737 Simulators, complete Courseware as hardcopy and as Software, Visa application and all fees', she added.
'Only eight students will be selected for each programme and we have selection process once in four months,' she said and added that the students would have to select either Airbus or Boeing training', Anju said.
She also said that the course
fees is Rs 44 lakh and after completing the course, the avenues are more
with initial salary package of Rs 3 lakh at the entry level iteself.
