        Tension mounted on Poonamallee High Road following a road roko by the hostelers of Pachaiyappan College yesterday.

        Police said that there was a fisticuff between the students over a petty issue. In the melee, a student was injured.

        Following, they staged picketed the busy main road disrupting the traffic.

        On information, top police officials from Kilpauk and Chetput rushed to the spot and pacified the picketing students. Later, the students dispersed.
