The strong influence and impact of Asian Indian culture of Pallava, Chola dynasty on South East Asian countries were brought out with vivid evidences through a television documentary Indian Imprints.
This documentary, funded by Prasar Bharati, will be telecast in 18 episodes of 25 minutes each at prime time on Doordarshan.
The preview and extracts of this serial were screened at Raj Bhavan here yesterday.
Spanning across five nations Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, the serial was brought out after a decade of extensive research and a whole year of filming, according to S Krishnaswamy, director of the documentary.
The preview and extracts were viewed by Governor Surjit Singh Barnala, former Governor P S Ramamohan Rao, Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, cancer specialist V Shantha and dancer Padma Subrahmanyam among others.
The team members were producer Mohana Krishnaswamy, technical consultant P K Venkatasubramanian, cinematographer Madhu Ambat, musician Rajesh Vaidhya.
