        The Motorsports Rally of the South 2007, a candidate event for the MAI (Motorsports Association on India) Indian National Rally Championship 2008 to be held here from yesterday has been postponed. The three-day event had to be postponed due to security reasons. 'There is a high security blanket over Chennai, banning all public functions and gatherings, due to the three day immersion ceremony time fixed by the State police between the 21 and 23 September for Vinayaga idols,' said Jaidas Menon, director of Motorsports Inc.
