        Short in stature but determination-personified was the 10-year-old Shivnarain Srinivasan. In a field of 115, Shivnarain emerged at the top of the heap in the corporate golf event of ICICI Bank at the Gymkhana course yesterday. The added strength was the participation of 75 Private Banking customers of ICICI.

        'Never expected to win in a strong field but was confident of pulling it off after the ninth hole,' said the sixth standard student of Sishya.

        More than 1400 golfers, all of them High Net Worth Clients of the bank from 17 cities, are testing their wares in 20 courses. The series kicked off with the first event at Jaipur followed by events in Lucknow, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad. The 'Master' event then travels to Mumbai, Dehradun, Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram and Jamshedpur among other cities.

        The series will culminate with the finale at Amby Valley course at Lonavla. Two winners from each city will make it to the finals on 18 March.
