Unwarranted comment
        Sir,

The comment on Lord Rama by Tamilnadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi is totally unwarranted and against the Indian nation. If he could not agree with the existence of Lord Rama, he could better keep quite instead of commenting about it at a public function. The Father of our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, who was a Bar-at-Law and respected by many countries, had faith on Ram. In fact, the name of Karunanidhi's mentor EV Ramasamy was a derivative of Lord Ram. When the Chief Minister's family members do have faith in Hindu Gods, what makes him to air such comments.

Unfortunately, the people of Tamilnadu now are not the people of '50s and '60s to listen to the atheistic movements and the present day public are more God-fearing. Let the Chief Minister at least now change his attitude and stop hurting the sentiments of Hindus.

Age catching up with CM!

        Sir,

In continuation of his tirade against Lord Ram, the Tamilnadu Chief Minister, was reported to have asked at a meeting in Erode that from which engineering college did Ram graduate to have had the knowledge of building bridges. Karunanidhi was obviously referring to the Ram Sethu bridge said to be have been built by Lord Rama. When he questions the very existence of Lord Ram, why does Karunanidhi bother about the qualifications? What are the Chief Minister's qualifications as, during his tenure, he too had built many bridges and fly-overs? But the point here is that he had ordered for building bridges but not built it by himself! His irresponsible utterances and references on Lord Ram would only make people fondly call him as 'Cheap Minister.'

And, why there are no reactions from the constituents of the DPA in Tamilnadu? The PMK founder, who normally lashes his acid tongue on various actions of DMK, has not stated anything on this issue. Does he also endorse the views of the CM? Why this silence Dr 'Ram'doss? The Chief Minister may be an atheist but that does not mean that he can say anything or force others to toe his line of thinking. Age seems to be catching up with the Chief Minister and he appears to be suffering from senile dementia. Will he have the courage to make disparaging remarks about other religions? He would dare not; for, Hindus are very tolerant and decent.
