        Bahubali S Shah of Gujarat Samchar, Ahmedabad has been elected as president of The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) for the year 2007-08 at its 68th annual general meeting held at Bangalore on Wednesday.

        He succeeds Hormusji N Cama of Bombay Samachar Weekly, Mumbai. Paresh Nath of Woman's Era, New Delhi is the deputy president and T Venkattram Reddy of Deccan Chronicle is the vice-president, Rakesh Sharma of Hindustan Times, Patna is the honorary treasurer of the Society for the year 2007-08, a press release said.
