Trainee officers of the Indian army displayed fighting skills at the Officers Training Academy in Chennai today ahead of a passing out parade.
The trainees - 193 men and 80 women will be commissioned as officers in the army on Saturday.
The cadets displayed skills involving martial arts, self defence techniques, group fighting, free fight and breaking techniques using ice slabs and tiles.
There was also parasailing, para motor display, motorcycle display and a performance by the band.
The motorcycle display by Ashwa Megh from CMP Centre at Bangalore showcased various stunts.
Trained military dogs from Meerut performed acrobatics at the event and showed their sniffing skills.
The dogs are trained for
patrol duties, mine and explosives detection and rescue work in areas hit
by natural disasters.
