        Women commuters plying from Velachery to Ambattur Estate in an MTC bus (route no: D 70) today got into an argument with the conductor for poor bus service and voiced the need to increase LSS (Limited Stop Service) instead of converting them into express or luxury services.

        As the bus which started from Vijaya Nagar was heavily crowded, the commuters had a tough time boarding from the check- post stop and Halda.

        Women commuters expressed their anguish and said that the cost of ticket was high in express service and the monthly bus passes were not eligible in express buses and they demanded more 'yellow board' as LSS buses were known by. This led to heated exchanges between the commuters and the bus crew.
