        Three of the 16 contestants fighting out in the much-awaited Grand Finale of Reliance Launch Pad at Kalaivanar Arangam have been selected for the top spots.

        Reliance Launch Pad is a brand new programme aiming at generating interest amongst bathroom singers and music lovers.

        The panel of jury, comprising playback singers Anooradha Sriram, Srinivas and Swarnalatha, along with audience voting, selected college student G Ravi for the first prize of Rs 3 lakh worth of jewels.

        The first and the second runners-up were M K Balaji, an engineering College student, and an industrialist's son Siddharth, both carrying home Rs 1.5 lakh worth of jewels.

        The judge was Gangai Amaran and V J Paloma hosted the show.

        It was indeed an enthralling show for some of the contestants had sung and danced. Next, the variety entertainment programme was performed by the John Britto's Dance Academy troupe and Javed Habib's salon had given the contestants a complete makeover.

        The preliminary rounds had been conducted through the past 13 weeks and 16 finalists had been in the final list for the top three spots.
